I just want everyone to be able to see it for themselves. Reaper is SOOOO fun to edit and create sound in. But, after a few months, I'm going to start rolling out tutorial videos and a comprehensive overview of Reaper in one location ( this website!!! ). Someone can take all these settings I've worked hard to develop and get Reaper up and running in about 5 minutes. GOOD NEWS THOUGH!!!! Now, I have all the macro's, key bindings, scripts, etc. It has taken about 6 months of work and implementation to get Reaper working like Pro Tools. So, with my computer engineering and programming background, I went to work. And, it's not easy to find all the tools you need or scripts you need to get up and running fast. The only issue is that it takes FOREVER to setup.

There are some limitations to Reaper, but it far surpasses Pro Tools functionality. It's perfect in that you can customize Reaper to fit you and your workflow. Macro's (keyboard shortcuts and binding multiple actions to shortcuts or mouse clicks)Įssentially, Reaper is almost a perfect DAW. With the right setup, EVERY game audio designer should be using this DAW. I still don't know what was 'DELUXE' about this Deluxe Delivery & Unbox.After getting a very basic setup going, I tried to explore all the functionalities of Reaper. That's it, that's all! They literally wouldn't even help me lift it onto the table where it was to sit. Thankfully the replacement was much better and I received a free, 'DELUXE DELIVERY & UNBOX' which was a very misleading thing because when they got here w/ the TV, the young gentleman in charge continually explained how they could do nothing but take it out of the box, plug it in and ensure operation, which amounted to making sure it turned on, and then take the box and leave. Even more strange was that the two capable gentlemen who delivered this one had it strapped securely to the inside rear of the truck with absolutely nothing around it (in an empty 10ft radius) that could've damaged it so badly & they were not reckless or dropsy, so I'm still not sure how a TV shipped & handled that securely got shattered across the entire front of the screen while being handled by such careful pros. Insert virtual instrument On new track: Control+Insert (double-tap Insert if being used by your screen reader). And honestly, I believe they sent this shattered screen one on purpose because I called & complained about a delivery hold up, so I believe they just grabbed a broken one & threw it on the truck because I suddenly & very quickly got it like the next day, strangely enough.
